Hosted by PRSA National, the conference will last from October 15 to October 18.
The Saturday at the start of the conference has no workshops, but will be when the PRSA assembly will meet. This is when national elections will take place, in addition to deliberation on issues such as the recent proposal to increase membership dues for the first time in 10 years. That Saturday will also see the PRSA Educator’s Panel meet for a roundtable session and for research presentations.
The Saturday and Sunday prior to the official start of the conference does offer a series of separate, in-depth full and half-day preconference courses on social media, crisis communications, accreditation, and other current public relations issues.
Ready to earn your Accreditation? An APR Boot Camp is being offered Wednesday, October 12th through Saturday, October 15th. Participants will work their way through the process from start to finish, with the final event being the copmuter-based exam to complete the process.
Theregular workshops will start on Sunday and last through Tuesday. Each workshop will belong to one of five conference tracks that include Strategies, Tools & Techniques, Specialization, ROIs and Leadership and Management. Those making the trip will have the privilege of attending one of the most important annual events in the communications industry.
